Collins Aerospace MiQ Universal Design Business Class Seat

Problem Statement: Collins Aerospace (former B/E Aerospace) needed to refresh a dated mechanical business class seat into a new offering. The initial scope was for an aesthetic update, but new accessibility feature functionality was added based on re-framing the value proposition of the offering using user research and changing market shifts. The challenge became to design a new mechanical business class seat to accommodate a wide range of users with diverse usability needs utilizing Universal Design principles.
