Hi! I’m Mark Peurifoy and I am a Product Design and Usability Leader based in Irvine, CA. I have over 15 years of award winning design experience leading and designing physical and digital experiences for the worlds most respected brands.

I’m currently the Head of UX / Product Strategy at Supernal, an eVTOL aircraft OEM start-up (part of Hyundai Motor Group) where I lead a team of 5 UX / HF researchers and 4 designers designing the future of electrified aviation and it’s Mobility as a Service ecosystem.

Prior to Supernal, I was a Usability Engineering Leader at General Dynamics Mission Systems providing leadership in defining strategy in usability, interaction design, human systems integration, and process/practice across Human Factors / UX / SW Eng disciplines for a diverse portfolio of products/systems (Land, Sea, Air, Space & Intelligence, Cyber, Flight Planning, Flight Management / Mission Management Systems).

Previously, I was a global UX leader at Honeywell (Aerospace and Healthcare) on cross-functional business leadership teams managing digital & physical HMI, end to end user experiences and connected services. Prior to joining Honeywell, I worked as a Senior Industrial Designer/Brand Specialist with B/E Aerospace (now Collins Aerospace) where I designed award winning branded cabin interior products / aircraft seating for airlines such as Delta, United, British Airways, KLM, China Airlines, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Korean Air among many others.

In addition, I have exercised thought leadership speaking at brand experience conferences around the world. As a Senior Industrial Designer, I designed high speed rail interiors and services for Amtrak’s next generation Acela high speed rail service.

My education includes a Master of Industrial Design degree from North Carolina State University and a Master of Entrepreneurship degree from Western Carolina University, and Executive Education Certificates from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab and Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
